Last year, the control panel has received a large update so it works with the latest PHP version.
If you’re using WordPress, and your theme and plugins are still supported, then the developers will have typically done the upgrades for you.
We recommend keeping your own applications up-to-date with regards to the PHP version. That makes them more secure. PHP 7 is really old now.
Because we use Debian Linux, our servers receive security updates for a while longer than other operating systems. This is why we’re still able to support PHP 7, even though PHP itself no longer supports it. But support for PHP 7 will end, so it’s important to realize that this upgrade needs to be done soon.
If you need assistance with your upgrades, please let us know.
The most recent version is PHP 8.4. If you don’t see this version in your control panel, contact us! Every year around the end of November, a new PHP version comes out. PHP 8.5 is scheduled for November 20!
